Prize Money Scholarship is a scheme of Karnataka Social Welfare Department. This is a financial scholarship assistance program for SC and ST students obtained first class in first attend. That means this scholarship scheme is mainly for meritorious sc and st category students. Through this scholarship, Karnataka Government has given considerable attention to higher  education. That’s why the main aim of this scheme is to provide financial assistance from minimum Rs 20000 to maximum Rs 35000 through scholarship to students studying in courses like engineering, medical, undergraduate, post graduate, PUC II, diploma. Prize Money Scholarship is a flagship program of Karnataka Government. Schedule caste and schedule tribe category students who have passed the last final exam with 60% marks can participate in this scholarship scheme. That is, students must have obtained first Division in the first attempt at last final exam. Through this scholarship scheme, the students studying in diploma course will get Rs 20000. And students studying professional courses like Agriculture, Medical, or Engineering will get Rs 35000. Interested eligible students have to apply online for this scholarship scheme by visiting the official portal swdservices.karnataka.gov.in/SWPRIZEMONEY/ of social welfare department of Karnataka government. This is an unprecedented scholarship scheme for students as students are the future of the nation.

How To Apply for Karnataka Prize Money Scholarship?

To apply for the Karnataka prize money scholarship, you have to go to the official portal. The apply process is as follows.

Visit the Portal

At first you have to visit https://swdservices.karnataka.gov.in/SWPRIZEMONEY/ for the application process.

Online Application

Now select online application. After selecting the online application, a new tab will open.

SSLC Board type

After that again select SSLC Board type. You can see several board types like ICSE, CBSE, SSLC Board Karnataka, Karnataka Open School, or Direct Registration (Without SSLC). So select your board type from the list.

SSLC Year and Registration Number

In this step, you have to provide the SSLC year and registration number. Now proceed to the next step.

Check Details

After submitting the details, you can check the department, scheme name, beneficiary ID. now enter your name (As per aadhaar). Check the declaration and submit.  swdservices.karnataka.gov.i

Provide Personal and Academic Details

Now provide your personal details, caste, DOB, course, permanant address, active mobile number, email ID, and academic information like institute/college details and submit.

Bank Details

Now enter your bank details like account number, IFSC code, branch district, address etc.

Upload Required Documents

In this step, you have to upload your recent passport size photo, caste certificate and last qualified exam marksheet’s scan copy.

Check Declaration

Then check the declaration and submit the application.

Acknowledgement slip

Finally take a printout of the application slip.

Visit the scholarship portal https://swdservices.karnataka.gov.in/swprizemoney

Now go to Application Status (ಅರ್ಜಿಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ) option to check your present status.

A new tab will open.

Here you have to choose the option “View report by” to Applicant No. Wise or College wise.

If you select “Applicant No.” then provide your applicant number. But if you select college wise then choose your Course Completion Year, college , district and Taluk from the list.

Finally click on view to check your application status

Reprint Prize Money Scholarship Application (ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಮರುಮುದ್ರಣ ಮಾಡಿ)

Students who want to reprint their scholarship application can go to the official portal to get the acknowledgement slip again. Here is the step by step guide.

Step 1, Visit the portal swdservices.karnataka.gov.in/SWPRIZEMONEY/.

Step 2, Nevigate to ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಮರುಮುದ್ರಣ ಮಾಡಿ/Reprint Application.

Step 3, A new web page will open.

Step 4, Now enter your Course Completion Year, Registration No. and date of birth.

Step 5, Finally select download to get the acknowledgement slip.

Aadhaar card.

Bank passbook.

Active phone number.
